2. Eclipse

Constructed by Blohm + Voss of Hamburg, Germany and designed by Terence Disdale with naval architecture by Francis Design, the Eclipse was delivered to Russian businessman Roman Abramovich on 9 December 2010. At 533 feet long, the Eclipse is the world’s second largest private yacht and boasts two helipads, 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, a number of hot tubs as well as a disco. Impressively, and partially justifying its $800 million price tag, the Eclipse is also fitted with a missile defence system, three launch boats and a mini-submarine. This luxurious superyacht requires around 70 crew members to operate the sea craft and cater for the guests.
